General Gaming

Casinos, poker, sports betting, racing and tribal gaming are all prohibited in Georgia. The state does, however, draw large revenue from the state-run lottery which offers draw games, instant ticket games and keno. Charitable gaming is allowed if operated in compliance with state law. Online gambling is prohibited except for lottery draw ticket sales on the internet. Fantasy sports and betting on virtual events is unregulated.

Video Gaming

Gaming machines are prohibited with one exception. Sweepstakes machines are considered lottery devices and classified as Class B machines.  No operator may have more than nine of these machines in one location, they must be licensed, and the prize value is limited to $5 on a single play.
